an organizing controversy of the Change era — the battle cry to raze “last bastion of injustice”: to disarm the fundamental instinct of rating humans by sex, youth, fertility (“whenever there’s a fictional she you can profitably bet on her being of reproductive age”). Pre-Change, exposing this (happily unconscious) discrimination saw limited success because the only fix was to suppress the “human as prize” attitude; Change attacked it from the opposite direction: allowed and encouraged every human, rather than none, to be a “fondful tease” — a social and biological prize worth being your best for.
